Biography
Alain Saint-Pierre, a native of Victoriaville, holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the Université de Montréal (1988).
He spent many years working in municipal economic development, notably as Assistant Industrial Commissioner for the Victoriaville Economic Development Corporation, as Director of Economic Development for the City of Matagami (Northern Quebec) and with the RCM of Bécancour. These roles have sharpened his expertise in supporting and growing local businesses, identifying support programs and implementing development strategies in collaboration with stakeholders at all levels.
For the past 20 years, Alain has been active in the manufacturing sector, initially as Sales and Marketing Director for Entreprises Manufacturières Mégantic (Masonite International), where he negotiated supply agreements with both U.S. and Canadian manufacturers.
He is currently Director of Business Development in Canada for Forte Solutions Cadres et Portes, formerly Masonite Architectural, which operates two factories in Canada – one in Beauce and another in London, Ontario. He manages a network of manufacturer agents and distributors across Canada and oversees major projects in the health, education and commercial real estate sectors.
Beyond his economic focus, Alain takes a close interest in the social issues affecting citizens. He participates annually in the fundraising campaign for Sécurité alimentaire de Victoriaville and has been involved with the Comité d’accueil international des Bois-Francs, offering support to refugees.
Alain is a proud father of four children.
